Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bad monitor

I just bought my dream machine, MK2, at an auction over the weekend. When I fire the machine up I can hear the game but the monitor seems to have no power going to it. I notice that the fuse (2A 250k Slow Blow) on the Cap kit keeps blowing when I replace it. Where do I start the tracking down process? I really pray that the monitor is no bad - it's a 25" and will be $$$ to replace.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Personal opinion, unless you know what you are at dont go near a monitor. Lots of "KIll you" voltages involved. Getting parts for a monitor chassis in ireland is a pain. usually come in from the states.
I would suggest two things speak to your local tv repair guy he may be able to fix it.
One of the users here mitchomagic may have an old monitor he could sell you.
get the make and model and give him a shout.

Damn. I'd be interested to know how you get on with this as i also have a Mortal Kombat 2 cabinet and it will no doubt pop its clogs one day.

I learned all I know about Arcade Monitors from here. There's loads of helpful guys, grantspain in particular there went out if his way to help me. Post up your prob there, but for your own sake put more detail. What make monitor is it (assume Hantarex?), what size & a pic of the chassis would help the lads.
