My raiden sucks to, but i discovered the easiest way to beat Khan with anyone. You need to knock him down first, just let him whiff a move then punish him with a uppercut. As he is falling to the ground dash twice towards him. By the time you make it to him he will be standing up, just jump over him. As your in the air 90% of the time he will use the low hammer sweep type move. When you land punish him with said uppercut again or whatever is the highest combo you got. Rinse and repeat. But dont use any combo that will knock him to far away from you. You gotta stay in the pocket so you can jump over him just as he is standing up.

Will be heading home shortly, will give that a go.

My preferred character is Smoke at the moment. Does anyone know if the robot version will ever be available? I know, alternate time line and that, but just curious.

Haven't played this in a while, don't know why, MK is my favourite but i can't seem to get into a proper swing of this. Skarlet looks like a cheap Mileena.

Any idea when the first batch of DLC is going to arrive?
I live in Australia where they dont have an 18's ratings for games, I had to get a mate to bring it back to me from Scotland.
He had to take the CD out of its case and bring it in his bag as he heard of people getting stoped and fined at customs trying to import it on the QT.
Got my hands on the game and, he then sent over the box and I got a letter from customs saying that the bloody box was prohibited material.

Picked this up during the week and was enjoying it up until Shao Khan, had to turn it of as I was getting the rage.

Played a few games online (ps3) and for the most part it was pretty solid but the odd connection drop now and then ruins the mood.

Is it really essential to have tits involved? Seriously, lads, twenty years of MK and there was never any need for nudity before, and there still ain't any need now! If that was the case, why not have Chun Li's alternate costume as just her birthday suit in Street Fighter, or strip Lara Croft before she goes out to raid her next tomb? Just in case video games haven't already got a bad enough name in the media industry, cheapening them further with unnessacery nudity is just hammering more nails into the coffin.

I've no idea what iirc means. As far as I know there was never a naked cheat for Tomb Raider, it was bullsh1t rumors that were made up waaaaaaaaaaay back when the original game came out.

1) really nasty, bloody eviscerations are ok, but a curse word or nudity is not.
2) since it's already 18s, why not?

Maybe it's just an American thing. I don't see how the latter two is worse than seeing the gloriously gore of MK9. Why are blood entrails more acceptable?

The fact that they have gratuitous violence but absolutely no cuss words or nipples screams that they view their own product as adolescent tripe - disposable teenager fodder. Plenty of excellent tv shows (eg ROME) and other games (God of War being a great example) have judicious use of nutidy and swearing. I wonder why not Mortal Kombat.

I'm sure more than half of the world's population is already alienated by having an 18's gory beat-em-up drenched in Chinese mythology.

Anyway, I'm not saying "AWW WHERZ D BEWBS??" I'm saying "MK : Why is gratuitous gore ok, but (judicious) swears or nudity is not?"

Swearing suits GTA and the like, nudity works in God Of War and the like. They are part of what those games are about. They are not part of what MK is about, but violence is.

Furthermore- even in our tiny Irish scene, I was talking to two girls at the fighting game meet up last Wednesday, so really, you're completely wrong.

First, yes i'm a girl, :eek: , secondly i have many friend both male and female and we will all happily go to a Horrorthon, mainly because we all equally like cinema in most forms, thirdly we hang out in our society room in college and play video games together, male and female, and my boyfriend finds it quite annoying when i beat the crap out of him but he gets over it.

Congratulations on disproving your own point there, thats astounding.

My point is attitudes like that are the reason girls don't want to play video games, its the reason they don't go into engineering and its the reason they opt to spend their money on other forms of entertainment because I sure as hell would refuse to buy a game where my opponent could be a naked anything, man or woman. Fighting games are, guess what, about FIGHTING. the fan service stuff is bad enough as it is, make it worse and they'll turn games into a more interactive form of porno.
