Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Changing BB and Cranksets

I'm a bit new to all of this so I crave your indulgence.
I have three bikes; an old road bike with the old cottered cranks, with cup and cone BB; a Trek 1000 with an internal sealed cartridge BB, and a Corratec Forcia CA+ with a Shimano 105 external BB and two-piece crankset. My idea was to buy an upgraded crankset and BB for the Corratec, then move everything 'down' one; so I'd fit the 105 BB and crankset to the Trek, and fit the Trek BB and crankset to the old racer, dumping the cottered cranks and BB.
How do I know if each is compatiable with the other? What sizes and specs should I be looking for, so I don't waste money on something that won't fit my bike?
Any help or info greatly appreciated.
