Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know anywhere safe to park near the Aviva Stadium on event days? I'm working there as a Steward but I'm weary parking up with so many people going to be around.
    Thanks

Very very restricted. Nearly all the guards who work events there park up around Monkstown/Dun Laoghaire/Shankill or likewise on the northside and get the DART to Landsdown or Sandymount.

The roads are closed quite early so vehicle access is tight. You could try one of the hotels up that way but they normally have their own stewards on the gate to stop people parking in there. Might get away with it on a bike though

Theres a few spots near Beggars bush that would not be too bad, there are few little side street around there as well.

I'm normally there before the roads (bar Landsdowne) are closed so should be able to get quite near. Just afraid someone will interfere with my bike if I leave it somewhere that gets so full of pedestrians. There's loads of parking just by the stadium itself that would be perfect but not allowed to park there on the day.

Marian college is across the road from the stadium.Literally
Maybe drop in some day and ask the principal if you could leave it in the school grounds on match days etc.

All he can say is no, than park it anyway haha:D

I live opposite the stadium and my advice is to park in one of the side streets off Bath Ave or Shelbourne Road. Don't park on Lansdowne road itself(where all the chip vans park up). Also you might have to pay if you park in Jurys. Don't park on Shelbourne road or any of the main access roads as after the match they are really thronged for about an hour and punters could easily knock your bike. (crowds aren't so bad before the match as entry time is pretty drawn out)

If you arrive early enough you can get past the garda traffic barriers by saying you are staff (or a resident) and then park up one of the side streets. There are plenty of garda on duty and they usually park their vehicles up the side streets. I'd park near one of the squad cars.

you could park up by Irishtown Garda station on Irishtown Road. Only 5 minutes walk. Marian College would be ideal though but only if they have stewards in there watching cars cause it would be easy pickings otherwise
