Myself and some other hunters going to shoot boar next month in Hungary gathered for a bit of practice a couple of nights ago.

Initally I was slightly sceptical of how much benefit this would be. After an evening of blazing away at driven boar,moose,charging bear,pheasant duck and grouse and various trap disciplines my opinion has dramatically changed.

You can have action replays of your last 10 shots to see where you s*****d up. Speed up the targets,change your shot weight,size,choke.

You do need a group together to hire it,or 3 or 4 well off hunters.
7 or 8 is an ideal number.

I've had an our on that simulator and have to say it's a great way to get geared up and get the eye in for the season ahead. Must have fired off a couple of hundred shots. Had a go at the duck,pheasant,bear and boar. Got to bust a clay at 49 yards with a rifle, took a few attempts but where else could you get to do that:D

Definitely have to have a go of this sometime. Sounds like brilliant fun.

It would be good for social events and the like, and for those not familiar with shooting and want to try it.

For those familiar with shooting its a large expenditure/"waste" of money. Very expensive and no "real" world effects. Unless its a newer version, there is no recoil effect when shooting.

Will scare the crap out of a novice when he pulls the trigger of real shotgun and it "kicks back".

theres an opening for ya ezridax, develop a replica gun that will recoil the same as a real one!

Was thinking about that, and i suppose waiting till they pull the trigger then hitting them a slap would be out of the question?
