Has anyone ever made a crunchies cheesecake - I have the receipe for the Maltesers one could you just use crunchie bars instead of the maltesers?

Yes and yes. Just process them in a food processor until they become small chunks, or put it a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin, then fold it into your cheesecake mixture.
