    Does anyone know a shop in Galway where I can buy a big lollipop to give someone as a gift? For example:

    http://tinypic.com/r/dm42uq/7

    The only place I have seen something like this are in those coin machines with the arm that goes down to pick things up.

    maybe try one of the tacky irish souvenior shops like rainbow on shop street they might have a generic one

    don't know of any specialist confectionary shops but you could try places like McCambridges

    Yes I've seen them in the crane machines. Do people actually win at those things? :P I'm scared I'll end up spending 100 Euro before I actually get one. ;)

    @Sinery

    Where is TopShop?

    Topshop, but try the Sweet stand outside Penneys. Might cost a bit but they do stock them

    Seen them in River Island as well recently (next to the till).

    What is with clothes shops and kids' lollipops? :confused:

    (River Island is on Shop St, OP, opposite of Eason's more or less.)

    A suggestion maybe you could ring them Happy Days out by the Headford Road Shopping Centre. I've occasionally seen Stick of Rocks and thos Novelty plastic toys with Smarties etc., and some other kind-of novelty sweets n stuff. And they do toys n teddy-bears. :) But sometimes you'd go in it would be literally like a shop of all books on the shelves for sale and nothing else.

    Actually sometimes as well, but not all the time, in the farther away half of the shop, - the far side of the Tills, they have several lovely pieces/plaques etc., to give some-one for anniversaries and birthdays, nice as a gesture. And it is hard enough to find shops that do that type of stuff.
