Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FAO Carpenters - Roof tiles query

Doing a small extension which has a tiled roof, all rafters, felt and lats are in place, tiles arrived yesterday at last so I placed the first row to see how well they fitted, however to my surprise there was quite a bit of movement/play between adjacent tiles as in if you press one of the corners movement in the region of 2-4mm approx is occurring, my question is how much play/movement is acceptable if any. Carpenter is to return toward the end of the week don't want to bring the issue up with him if this is a fairly normal occurrance. Can anyone advise me?

Pictures would be a help . are you contuine a exsting roof , if so sounds like that if they are the same type tiles your are useing that the only other reson is that the new rafters are not on the same plane / surface as the old by a few mm .

The tiles aren't fixed at their ends. So if you press down in one place, somewhere else will rise. this will be most noticible when only the first row is on.
4mm movment is fien here imo.
