hi everyone, me and couple of friends are planing to stay in Sligo during this coming bank holiday. Since we haven't been there before, any good idea of where to go and what to do around Sligo? Things like hiking, fishing, camping etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hiking up Knocknarea or Benbulben.
Not too sure about camping. I know the Forest Park in Boyle has a campsite.
Ballisodare has a salmon fishing place, although you might have to be a member.

Hi I'm from Enniscrone originally. There's a really nice beach here. Well worth a visit. Caravan park aswel. You can drive along the coast through Easkey towards Sligo. Its still a really picturesque unspoilt part of the country. Hope you enjoy Sligo

    Take a look here:

    http://www.arrowrockhostel.com

    and here:

    http://www.lougharrowcaravanpark.com

Both are located at Lough Arrow in SE Co. Sligo, so good fishing. Carrowkeel Megalithic Tombs are not too far away and it's a bit of a hike to get up to the top!

    Hope this helps! :)
