Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

want to get away for two nights in Ireland, to do bit of shopping and relax, narrowed it down to Letterkenny (radisson blu) and Limerick (the strand), both same price, and same distance, which would be the best choice for shopping and relaxing??

    Hi Kate,

Im heading to Letterkenny this weekend myself - up to some family up there. We love it up there- a great night life, great shopping and some great restaurants.
A short drive will bring you to some lovely beaches-even if you just sit in the car and enjoy the view.
Limerick in my opinion isnt a great spot for shopping in recent times. A lot of the shops in the city have closed down, but you would have the Cresent Shopping centre. I have never been out in Limerick- but it is meant to be a good spot.
    Hope this helps!!:)

Letterkenny would be handy if you fancied headin into the North to do some shopping, Derry is only 40 mins away.

Limerick has one decent shopping centre think it's called the crescent?
it's a bit outside of the town though

myself and boyfriend went to limerick few months ago for weekend away
there is no such thing as late night shopping!
everywhere closed early and the place was a ghost town once 6pm came
I wasn't mad about the town in general

Letterkenny is lovely plenty of scenery around donegal and much friendlier people
as someone else said go to derry for the serious retail therapy
neither limerick nor letterkenny are meccas for shopping!

but I would prefer letterkenny a million times over for a relaxing break:)
