Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some porn star with massive juggs, using a fisheye lens and taken from just below the neck line.

.. Or an eerie portrait of Kane from WWE with his mask. I'd be able to be really creative with Kane, but I'd enjoy my first idea a lot more, I imagine. :o

Thats a very hard question. I thought and thought and though and I decided on Nuno Bettencourt as I photographed him on stage and spent time ith him after the gig and he is a really lovely person so I would love the opportunity to take a portrait. But then I thought, hmmm Id love it yes but is he the one person I would want to photograph above all else? No I dont think so because as much as I like portraiture it is not my thing.

Then I thought the closest I could come would be possibly whos wedding I would like to photograph and there is so many to choose from. Id love to photograph Jessica Alba on her wedding day, I think she is stunningly beautiful and would be a beautiful bride.

Finally I thought, Im not feeling it, if I could photograph anyone at all on this one day who would it be? I would photograph my Nanny, today is the first anniversary of her death and although I photos of her I dont have many, I would love just one more chance to photograph her, smiling and well.

For me it would be my grandfather. I was into photography when he was alive, but I was too afraid of photographing people to take his picture. I would love to have a good photograph of him...I don't have a single one.

I still am afraid of photographing people, but I force myself occasionally.

Someone famous- Tom Crean- In his pub, on the Endurance, at the end of the crossing of South Georgia. I'd use a Leica M6 or a Nikon FM2 or an Olympus OM1 or OM2 and either Kodachrome 64 outdoors, and Ilford HP5 in the pub and below decks on the endurance.Someone famous Living- Bob Geldof- enigmatic and odd..Someone Realistic- Pat Ingoldsby. Someone soon- my kids- I've already taken a few pictures of them this morning and its barely 9am. I rarely have a day go by without taking a picture or 2 of them.

it's a thought experiment, knock yourself out.
stuff like 'christ on the cross' will be disqualified though - only people (or events) we know existed.

There is evidence in historical records (i.e...recorded by historians, not religious fanatics.. in this case Jewish historians such as Josephus ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephus )..not Christian ones.) that Jesus did exist, and did stir up quite a furore.. so that's really not a fair statement. There's plenty of historical evidence of the existence of Mohammed and Siddartha (the Buddha) so they shouldn't be excluded either. Now.. Zeus, Athena etc.. I don't think there is historical record of.. only mythology.. but their followers probably believe that mythos to be historical record.. so that should even still be open for debate. ;)

    not religious fanatics

    Lol

I'd go for Nikola Tesla with a few of his inventions in the background tied into the remote shutter release.

1 - Individual portrait of my wife & children. In a setting that shows something about who they are , what they like. Natural light, fairly shallow DOF, bright eyeballs. Each holds something that is of value to them. Lego, a soccer ball, a piece of jewelry....Shoot with a 50 or 80 mm lens at about f/2.0 - f/4.0

2 - Helen Mirren. In a forest. She is wearing something diaphonous & looks radiant. Her breasts are clearly discernible but her naughty bits are not. Beams of sunlight pierce the foliage above. Probably need a bit of fill-in flash. Shoot at f/5.6 - f/8 with a 50 - 80mm mm lens for reasonable but not excessive DOF.

3- Me in the labour ward giving birth to Helen Mirren's babies. I have about 3 days beard growth, sweat is clearly visible on my knotted brow. Blue/greenish cast from mix of fluorescent lights overhead & gelled strobes. Fairly high-contrast image but a little desaturated. 2- 4 Nurses in the shot, all 30+ to show that they are seasoned pros, but none over 50. This is , after all a fairly dynamic situation . All are doing something meaningful. Some are sedating me, Others are approaching with menacing instruments made of stainless steel, which have an eerie glow (pp effect) .
Helen is, meanwhile, looking in disinterestedly through the centre of three windows, sipping on a glass of burgundy. On her right, Woody Allen can be seen looking lecherously at Helen Mirren. On her left, Lady Gaga is seen in an outrageous costume, desperately trying to attract Helen Mirren's attention. (Photomontage?) Shot with say a 20 mm lens at f/8.0 - everything is clinically in focus.

4 - Brian Cody. He is in a classroom & there is a green blackboard in the background with diagrams, circles & arrows. The shot is from a low angle, and he looks tall. His mouth is open in mid-speech , he is gesticulating. Desks & students are visible. All of the students are adults and are a bit oversized for the relatively small desks in the room. Students include well known hurling players from Cork, Kilkenny & Tipp. All are wearing their county strips. The lighting is boring & flat (achieved probably by an array of umbrellad studio flashes) except for a clearly visible beam of sunlight through the window. It highlights his shoes, which are utterly mundane. He himself is wearing somewhat shabby codurouy pants and a cheap shirt. Everybody in the room is rapt. Shot with at 20 mm or wider lens, f/4.0 with Cody crystal clear, the players a bit oof but identifiable.

There ya go - something for all the family!

Andy Warholl, in the Factory, every time. Preferably with the Velvet Underground in the background, with Nico & Edie that is.
