Iraq is deeply uninteresting. Doubt there'll be any takers for this 'classified material' -what'll it say? Iraq is miserable, it's next door to Iran. Don't go there on holidays. /leak

Easy for the guy in the hummwv to say while he's shooting a 50 cal weapon at people in rags.

The information has been deadly in the hands of the Americans, they have little to lose by having it released

Here's the deal. If Wikileaks have gained access to a document which shows illegal activity, then I can see them releasing that document. It's far less controversial. Releasing 400,000 documents, 99% of which are routine operations does nothing to redress unlawful deaths, and instead puts at risk people who have just been trying to fight the war as best they can. Wikileaks gets their 'justice' met, (with the benefit of focusing on the issues), and the risks to anyone else are minimised.

They will probably cause the deaths of innocent people because of this. It is hard to say how many. I hope for the sake of their conscience that no one will die.

Actually a lot of the documents are related to stuff like this:

Seeing as troops are being withdrawn and PSD involvement is being ramped up I think it's entirely justified. These PSDs are a threat to enlisted men as they are feeding the hatred of coalition troops in Iraq.
