I would imagine we will see Childress gone before we see Favre gone even if Favre is out through injury. Easy for people to make Favre the scapegoat for the sh1t start to the season.

Is Brad Childress just a douchebag?...it think he is

On Sunday...I will love it if we beat them!

It's well known Childress and Farve don't like each other, so I'd imagine Childress would like to still have a job to come back to when Farve-mania finally ends in Minesota.

childress begged Favre to come back ... on a $20million contract. If Favre's going down, Childress is going with him.

    Ridiculous to blame his QB.

As for the Pats thing -- storm in a teacup. there's nothing in that story, and these sort of things nothing stories always come out the week before a big game.

Oh yeah its not a big deal, bulletin board material is overrated but it is still ridiculous and childish that Childress would come out and say something like that, there is nothing to gain for the Vikings from his statements, but there is something to get out of it for the Patriots.

If i was a Vikings fan, i would facepalming at everything Childress has said in the past 2 days.

Thats a very one side article. But yeah, Childress is a retard, not just in his dealing with the press, but his game time decisions too. I think the whole NFL has now realized that the vikes run-run-pass and repeat.

It could be a disaster on Sunday with TJack taking the snaps. I read something good yesterday that having AP, Moss, Harvin and Shiancoe........coupled with Childress and Jackson is like building a new garage and putting your skateboard in.

    IMO, Favre will play Sunday.

He's a perfectly fine QB, one of the better backups in the league

Favre will start unless Childress stops him , Peter King has said that its really like a severe sprain and i think he has played through stuff like that before

Tjack can certainly surprise people if he did play ...as for Chilly well Favre coming in and playing well last year gave Chilly his contract extension ...maybe he should remember that ...i know Favre has played audibles and changed plays at scrimmage but again Favre knows who held the power ..it was Chilly driving Favre back from the airport that first day

Aside from the fact that King is a bit of a joke journalist, I'd agree 100% with this. If Favre can walk without screaming in agony, he'll play. And Childress should be thanking Favre, not berating him. Favre's the reason he's still an NFL Coach.

Sure there has been footage of Favre in the Vikings locker room after the last game and in practice moving about fine. It could be a case of the Vikes giving the Pats a dose of their own medicine making injuries out to be more than they are.

Tjack wouldn't be a bad thing either. It means they will spread their game out more and this worries me as a pats fan if Tjack comes in. I would rather old man Favre in there taking hit after hit if the Pats D can pressure him.

It's funny how the rest of the NFL kinda rate TJack yet Vikes fans generally don't. The guy can move about a bit for sure, but his accuracy and decision making is off. He rarely looks downfield and will over depend on AP. I'd have rather they kept Rosenfels when thinking for backup this season. On a side note, there seems to be higher hopes for Joe Webb rather than TJ in the future.

I know this has been discussed in another thread....I could definitely see the Vikes moving for Kyle Orton in the off season.

The problem is most Vikings fans base their opinion of him on his 2006 and 2007 season and don't see that Jackson has progressed as a QB. If with the low amount of games played in 2008 and 2009 he has shown signs of improvement and sitting behind Brett Favre can only have been a good thing. After all the flaws you mentioned can be fixed both Accuracy and Decision making can be fixed and worked on. And as for depending on AP Jackson has plenty of targets to throw to now.

Just to add Jackson also beat Rosenfels for the 2nd string spot in 2009 and would have backed up Jackson had Favre not come back. Obviously the Vikings coaching staff see the same growth and were willing to take a shot on Jackson.

As for Webb he is the Vikings project it seems. The fact he entered the draft hoping to get in as a WR, Childress has taken him as a QB. Obviously Childress sees future potential in Webb but I would say we are talking a couple of years down the line as a back first.

To be fair it was an Ankle expert King spoke to ...he was the watercarrier...interested in hearing the problems with King , like J Cole and M Lombardi myself the best so ...

Im not going to mention the present Denver QB's name (as ive taken stick about that b4) but its funny how circumstances move .

Rookie coach makes strange decisions ...alienated his franchise QB and he is traded .....replacement plays well but is strangely undervalued cos of teams bad season . Rookie coach picks a "project QB" in draft and pays 1st round money for him so he needs to play at some stage

Cos of contract situation , strong camp and no Plan B ...Kyle gets a bumper extension..Team play badly ...QB plays well but pressure on coach causes "project" to play or something to be done to halt slide

    What does Bowlen do

    - fire McDaniels where new coach moves on with Kyle ...i think a new coach could see Tebow as a coach killer/or maybe not
    - Bench season as lost and move on with Tebow & McDaniels

some of these scenarios involve the present QB1 in Denver hitting the open market and who needs a QB?

someone mentioned the Fisher Tennessee angle from last season and this is pertinent but some teams i feel will definitely need a QB

    Arizona
    Cleveland
    Carolina

and depending on Childress' future and TJacks performance and Chillys real belief in TJack , they may need a QB

After all why did Chilly chase favre not once but twice so badly ? Lot of questions there
