Dissertation - articles/books on Privacy/terror issues?

Hey all. I'm compiling research here for my dissertation (the criminalisation and marginalisation of photography and the photograph) and was wondering if anyone has come across anything recently on the issues of privacy and street photography, anti-terrorist legislation or photographing children. I have all the usual suspects - I'm a photographer not a terrorist, the BJP and loads of stuff from the guardian. If anyone knows any books I can use? - there doesn't seem to be much weightier stuff published. I'm also looking specifically on stuff with an Irish context. Anyone know what the situation is with the new privacy laws that were being discussed a while back for instance?

No matter how trivial or otherwise, I'd appreciate any feedback

In his judgment, Mr Justice Kearns concluded the publication of photos of the couple and child leaving the registry office were not a breach of privacy because they were taken in a public place when they were performing a routine public function. The photos did not disclose anything that could not have been seen by anyone else who turned up at the registry office at the relevant time, he said."

I've been trying to recall this one book, my professor's. I was flipping through it and saw that it has things like case examples of legal issues in photography - if not the entire book. Excuse my forgetfulness. Will check it again and will let you know if it is relevant to your topic.

There is recently a exhibition and maybe a book about the fencing off of large parts of the city of london due to terrorist threats by photographer Hernietta Williams and cartographer/architect George Gingwell called Entering the Panopticon: a study of the Ring of Steel.


While perhaps not directly relevant you might get some comment from them.
