Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i was wondering how to restore files that have been deleted from the computer recycle bin.I have windows 7 home premium not sure if that helps

also i tried lots of different software and none of them worked

so if you could do this without any software that would be brilliant

if you deleted stuff from the recycle bin the space the files occupied is now available for windows to overwrite,
chances are that installing a program to recover files will actually overwrite them

something like photorec (google for testdisk) will search for files in deleted space,
use a different machine to download it and expand to a usb drive and then run from the usb dirve

the best way would be to use a linux live cd to recover files to an external drive

+1 for Recuva. Plus it's free.

Recuva gets my vote too. Usually if it can be recovered, I find that recuva will get it.

Also, I think it goes without saying, stop using the usb. As Capt'n Midnight pointed out, sometimes if you put more files on the disk then they can write over the ones you're trying to recover, so be careful.
