So, a bunch of us are heading to Dublin to support a friend who is running in the marathon on Monday. After we see him off at the start around 8.45am, what should we do for the next five hours or so? Will there be anything open at that hour on a bank holiday Monday?

I'll be travelling with a pair of teenagers. Help!!! Any ideas how to amuse them, given that roads will be closed for the run and it's a bank holiday?

That really is all there is to do in Dublin, is drink. The culture in this country is a joke.

Go up to the Hell fire club for a nice walk and climb the building for a nice view of the city

Why are you just seeing him off at the start?

Why not see him off and then go on to some other point and be there ahead of him and cheer him on that point??

Get some takeaway coffees and standaround enjoying the vibe.

    Dress warm!
