Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What will Adebayor do this time? I predict a karate kick to Wenger's face if he scores.

Realistically though our CB pairing is insanely slow, if Tevez can get in behind we're fooked, and he will as we play high.

    2-1 City :(

The Arsenal backline is definitely there for the taking but unfortunately so is our own.

City are soft enough at CB themselves though, Lescott is a liability, Toure not much better. They badly need a partner for Kompany.

That said I think Arsenal have the same problem with none of the partners available for Vermaelen looking up to it.

I can see goals here, 2-2. City to pin them back twice.

Think Arsenal will romp home here....City too defensive and Arsenal will cut them to pieces...City 1 Arsenal 3

If Mancini has done his homework he'll do what Ancelotti has done to us in the last few meeting.

Tuck your full backs in and let us have wings all day, your backline is big enough to deal with us crossing to our forward line of midgets and just double up on Chamakh.

Sit deep and draw us on and use the pace of Tevez (Drogba), AJ (Malouda), Silva (Essien), Milner (Anelka) to counter when we've pushed high and we turn the ball over.

Vermaelen is out with an Achilles injury. It will be Djourou and Squillaci at the back.

City are gonna be too strong in the middle and won't give Arsenal any time on the ball. 2-1 City.

2-0 to city, Can see the CB's letting arsenal down :(

No Adebayor for city, Boyota starts. Denilson starts for arsenal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Pleased with Denilson starting. Koscielny is back on the bench too which is good to see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Hart, Boateng, Kompany, Boyata, Richards, De Jong, Yaya, Barry, Silva, Tevez, Milner.

    Super Mario on the bench.

Fcuk that was close. Tevez showing early doors he's going to spend the afternoon bumfcuking our CB's.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

We need to drop our line back by about 5-10 yards or so or we'll be crucified for pace.

Never a red, Chamakh was never ever getting the ball. Boyata's inexperience showed there.

Go way outta that; perfect ball through by Fabregas and Chamakh had every chance of getting to that.

Chamakh's last touch was essentially a pass to Hart. A yellow would have been more than sufficient.

Damn it missed the sending off!

What happened, if anybody doesn't mind explaining?

I don't understand why cards arent given out for unsporting behaviour when they ask for cards they'd soon stop that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

I have to disagree. It was a definite red card.

Absolutely, just unnecessary to have that going on.

Hate that card waving nonsense, I can't toleate it at all. I actually find it much worse than diving.

Fabregas puts a lovely ball through for Chamakh and Boyata fouls him, last man back.

Chamakh clean through and boyota takes him down just outside the box

    Goalscoring opportunity = red.

We don't know if he'd have gotten to it as he got scythed down. Imo [and crucially the ref's too] he'd have gotten to it.

It's not actually an automatic red if your last man back it's if it's a goalscoring oppertunity with no other defender having a chance to get back.

Should of been a card for song
