Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Another good save from Flappy Handski, even if it was offside.
Maybe he isn't so hopeless after all

He's the best defensive midfielder in the league imo. Fantastic every game.

Why in the name of God are we still committing 5/6 men to every attack??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,116 ✭✭✭✭RasTa

Not much of a fight from City since the 2-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

Think we almost broke our own record there of passes before a potential goal. Nice defending

Nothing wrong with that tbh.City have offered very little going forward anyway.

It's the only way we know how. I'd get worried if we started trying to play it about by the corner flag!

anyone know what the odds were on 0-3?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,692 ✭✭✭✭OPENROAD

Get In , absolutely delighted, great three points :)

I'm strangely ok with that defeat considering the circumstances. We were super for 75 minutes and 3-0 was a harsh final result.

The likes of Bridge and and Barry need to go but De Jong, Richards, Silva and Boateng were great today imo.

Fantastic result. Excellent second half, cool heads all round and some great individual performances. Credit where credits due,Fabianski had a fantastic game and has certainly thrown the gauntlet down to Wenger.

Dont think 3nill was too harsh to be honest, could and probably should have been more, missed peno and arsenal were so so wasteful in front of goal. know city had a few chances aswell but everytime arsenal went forward they looked like scoring. It was like playing fifa with the shoot button broken.

    Why wasnt Johnson brought on?

City were fairly decent all things considered even if the result doesn't reflect it.

Milner, barry and Bridge were poor i thought

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

very happy with Fabianski today. He looked solid and composed.

The Arsenal midfield played very well. Seems to be a maturity growing in the team now.

Obviously the game was turned on it head with the sending off.

A very good 3 points when you consider the result we had there last year.

More of the same on Wednesday please :)

    Chama-kan better get bonus points

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 6,798 ✭✭✭karma_

Arsenal got very lucky today, no sending off in the 4th minute and it would have been a vastly different result. City played well with 10 for as long as they could but the effort took it's toll in the end. Mancini possibly made the mistake picking Boyata for this game where a more experienced head might have been a better pick, still it's early days of the season and hindsight is 20/20.
