Hi. Not sure if this is the right place, but figured it was the closest, since there's no postdoc forum. I'm in the process of applying for an IRCSET Empower postdoc. The application asks for:

• Aims,
• Background & preliminary work,
• Project outline,
• Justification,
• Methods/techniques,
• Milestones, deliverables (please provide a Gantt chart to illustrate the project timelines)
• Impact of work/innovation or novelty

I'm not too clear on the "Justification" part. Is this monetary justification, scientific justification, or something else entirely? Would love to hear from anyone who's done one of these, or something like it. Thanks!
