Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello everyone,

Anyone following on from Mr Skeffington's good work out there in Dublin?

I for one need a few good 2 hour lessons in replacing tubes, and very basic bike maintenance fundamentals...

Don't need a serious bike mechanic just someone to show me the very basics and do it slowly and patiently...so if anyone has a bit of time to spare and wants to earn extra cash please let me know..

    Thanks in advance

You might give rothar a call, i gather they're opening new premises in the coming weeks and are hoping to run a few more bike maintenance classes than they were previously able to. If that's a no go, i can certainly show you anything you would need to keep your bike running smoothly.

I took a class in Rothar over the weekend. The guy doing the training was very friendly and explained himself well. The price is very good, I got my brake and gear cables changed during the session which probably covered the cost.

It might be a bit of a squeeze if there are four people in the class (which is the max I think) but we were only two so it was fine. As abc mentioned they should be expanding soon and the new area will be for the workshop so there should be plenty of space.
