Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

vm machine auto restore

    I'm wondering if anyone knows if any vm packages that can do an auto restore periodically or else be able to do it by a command or a parameter in the program so i can get something else to trigger it

    Do you mean restore the VM to the state it was after you installed the OS and adjusted it to your liking and before you started experimenting with it?

    If so then why not just take a copy of the VM machine file after installing and customising the settings.

    You can then just copy it back every time to wish to start afresh.

    That's exactly what i'm doing... i don't think you understood my post i'm trying to do it automatically or periodically

    Most VM packages should be able to take a snapshot of a machines state at any particular time. VirtualBox (the one I use) is certainly able to do so, both from the GUI and via command line (so it can be cron'd if necessary) and it should work if the VM is active or off.

    Is that what you are looking for?
