Is it ok for a white person to dress up as a black person for Halloween? I don't mean that someone asks - 'oh what did you come as?' - and your response is 'a black person'.... I mean if there was a black person in particular, like Morpheus from The Matrix - would that be ok?

Someone told me that I might offend some people, and given how it's a work party it may be inappropriate...but that never even crossed my mind...

I don't get this PC crap...

If you're dressing up as a particular person then it doesn't matter if they're black or white. If you're just going as a black person then I think you'll have problems, especially if you use stereotypes when creating your outfit.

But yeah, too many in the PC crowd are just morons with nothing better to do than to invent things to be offended by.

Although I don't think you'd get into too much trouble with the Nazi uniform, Ireland never really had a big problem with the Germans.
