picture hangers

Evening all, Not sure where this belongs- I've also posted this on the photography forum. Any ideas how I'd fit these keyhole hangers to 12mm MDF? Have tried using a kitchen door hinge recessing drill bit but its diameter is slightly too big leaving the hanger loose in the hole even with adhesive. cheers

what diameter are they u could try a forstner bit altough 12mm mdf is very thin
