Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Picture hanging

    Evening all,

Not sure where this belongs- I've also posted on the diy forum. Any ideas how I'd fit these keyhole hangers to 12mm MDF? Have tried using a kitchen door hinge recessing drill bit but its diameter is slightly too big leaving the hanger loose in the hole even with adhesive. Thinking of using them to hang MDF blockmounts as an alternative to the split baton we currently use.

    cheers

What about using the hinge drill bit and filling with silicone? Squish the hangers into the right place in the hole and leave it over night?

I've broken lumps off walls and shattered tiles trying to remove things that have been silicone'd into place, so i reckon it'd be fairly capable of holding a photo. Could be expensive though, if you don't already have a silicone gun and such though.

    you need a faustner bit

I use keyholes that are 25mm and have a drill which is the same size

Sure a HSS drill bit of appropriate size will do the trick if you can't get a forstner bit to give you a tight fitting hole.
You will pick up a cheap set of forstner bits which includes a 25mm size in Lidl's ocassionally

No more nails would be great for this also
