In response to questions about Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi's upcoming performance schedule, the band released the following statement today:

"Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

Out of respect for Richie, the band will not comment further.

The finalists in the Bon Jovi opening act competition will compete by performing live at Vicar Street this Thursday May 19. The five selected acts are the Fallen Drakes, Simon Fagan, Doris, the Riptide Movement and Jody Has A Hitlist.

The judges include Peter Aiken, Mark Crossingham (Universal Music) and Carol Dooley (Radio Nova) who will choose two winners to play support to Bon Jovi at the RDS on June 29 and 30.

God i hope Jody Has A Hitlist dont win , terrible band

    Times from ticketmaster:

    29th June
    Doors Open - 5.30pm
    The Riptide Movement - 6pm
    Vintage Trouble - 7pm
    Bon Jovi - 8pm

    ************************************************

    30th June
    Doors Open - 5.30pm
    The Fallen Drakes - 6pm
    Vintage Trouble - 7pm
    Bon Jovi - 8pm

Bet it will be after 8 before Jovi come on so hopefully closer to 11 by the time they finish.

Rumours are Richie is out of Rehab. Nothing official yet and there won't be until first show in Zagreb until June 8th. Gotta wait till then.

I'd say it will be over very close to 11.
I've Got Gold Circle Tickets For Both Shows and can't wait.
I'm very Surprised they haven't got Bigger acts Supporting them.
Kid Rock and Razorlight Played Support to them in Punchestown.

Just after winning tickets for this gig. I've entered so many. I really wanted to go but didn't have the money. They're giving them away over the weekend on Radio Nova.

I saw them two years in a row at the RDS a number of years back and they were great. The 2nd year they played for about 2 and a half hours solid from what I remember. I remember when they came out at the start they said they were staying longer this time and they definitely did, at least half an hour longer. Really good.
