Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recent avi files will not play on My Philips BDP3000 Blu Ray player.

Hi, I own five Philips Bdp3000 Blu ray players. I have always been able to play avi files via the USB port on the Blu ray players. But recently avi files have failed to play on any of the Blu ray players. All of my old avi files play in the blu ray players. It is just the new ones that will not play. They play perfectly on my Xbox 360 and My PC.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

Codecs are updated all the time, so it's generally only a PC (with VLC media player or similar) that can play everything. Check to see if your player has an updated firmware available which may have better codec support.

No new updates for my Player. :( I will contact them tomorrow and tell them of the problem. Thanks.

As far as they are concerned, there is no problem. A piece of home entertainment hardware (TV, BluRay player, media player etc) will never be able to play all formats. Check the manual for your player - I bet it specifies a list of supported formats, codecs and resolutions.
