smoke machine needed for music video

Evenin' all.

We are shooting a music video here in Kilkenny over the weekend 13-14th Nov and we need a smoke machine for one day on Sat 13th.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I could obtain one here just for the day?

you could pop into maplins and buy one. they're under 50 euro, and are quite effective for indoor use. I never used mine outdoors but it certainly works a treat in smallish venues.

Brodericks rent them alright for 40 yoyos for the day but you can buy one in Maplins for 30 quid. We only need the thing for one day in a small room. Hmmm...

Lads by the sounds of these prices they are Mickey mouse smoke machines , I personally think a haze machine might be better for a video shoot

Seriously though-I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I might just rent it. Saves me having to travel to Dublin. Yeah if I was to buy one I wouldn't have a whole lot of use for it after. Unless I took it out during dinner parties to create some sort of ridiculous, ostentatious aura.

However, if I was to do that I'd have to wear a cape and serve sheeps eyeballs so the whole thing would spiral out of control.

You know I might just rent the damn thing...

If you're still looking, I have one I could give you. It's small and hasn't been used in a while (don't even know if it still works or if I have any fluid. I'll check that now). If all's okay I could lend it to you for €5 or sell it for €15. Let me know

Edit: Yeah it still works. There's still some fluid in it but you might need to buy some more, depending how much you need

Hi there,

I'm resurrecting my own zombie thread because yet again we need a smoke machine for a shoot tomorrow, Thursday evening. Our last one broke.

Anyone have one or know anyone who has one. It can be as basic as you like.
