    Hi all,

First time poster, so go easy on me!
My girlfriend is re-locating to waterford, and is looking for employment (or volunteering) in special need schools/homes etc for kids or adults in the waterford city/county area.
trying to put together a list, any names of schools/organisations?

    thanks.

Brothers of Charity in Ferrybank do great work for people with special needs. I'd imagine its a fairly specialised workforce they have so they might not take volunteers but there's no harm in asking, the number is 051-833400.

Childrens Grouplink is another one that helps local kids, you can volunteer there. They have a website for info www.childrensgrouplink.ie

St Martins address is Ballytruckle but it's actually in Cherrymount, just in case the original poster gets confused.

AFAIK there's the Jonah project in ferrybank (think it's for children with autism). There's also the Sacred Heart in beside the library.
