Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Premier Division Friday 29th All 7.45 k.o.

Bohemians v Dundalk @ Dalymount Park
    Bray Wanderers v Shamrock Rovers @ Carlisle Grounds Live RTÉ2 & RTÉ.ie
Drogheda United v Galway United @ Hunky Dorys Park
Sligo Rovers v St Patrick's Athletic @ The Showgrounds
Sporting Fingal v UCD @ Morton Stadium

    First Division Saturday 30th All 7.45 k.o.

Athlone Town v Limerick @ Athlone Town Stadium
Finn Harps v Mervue United Finn Park
Monaghan United v Derry City @ Gortakeegan
Salthill Devon v Longford Town @ Drom Soccer Pitch
Shelbourne v Waterford United @ Tolka Park
Wexford Youths v Cork City FORAS Co-op @ Ferrycarrig Park

End of the regular season for the League this weekend.

All Premier games on Friday night. A draw should be good enough to see Shamrock claim their first title since 1994. Drogheda already relegated. Galway will play at home to Bray in the Premier's semi final play-off. Euro spots still up for grabs between Sligo, Fingal and Pat's.

All First games are on Saturday night. Derry as good as have the auto promotion spot. Fierce battle between Waterford, Monaghan and Shels to claim the second and third positions. Salthill will play Cobh in the FD/A Championship play-off.

I'd expect the top of the tables to finish like this:
    1 Shamrock Rovers
    2 Bohemians
    3 Sligo Rovers
    4 Sporting Fingal

    And...
    1 Derry City
    2 Shelbourne
    3 Monaghan United
    4 Waterford United

    GAME ON!!!!

Matt Gregg triple penalty save followed by a 94th minute header from a corner he didn't need to go up for.

This preceded by Dundalk conceding 10 own goals just to piss Neale Fenn off.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Nerves have been gone since reality (aka hangovers all gone) sunk in on Monday, dunno how I'm going to last 6 hours of work before heading to Tolka on Saturday.

    Will we bottle it? Ofcourse!:(

Does anybody can actually enjoy these games. I'm physically sick at the thought of having to watch it. :(

Supporters of the clubs in question I meant.

Although for Shels supporters, you have the vested interest of wishing losses for the ever-growing number of teams that meet with your stern disapproval. :P

Shamrock Rovers fans can thank us for last Friday. We saved your asses!

Bull**** how many points we are ahead of Bray and we still have to fight for safety.

If we beat Waterford, and Derry beat Monaghan, we'd have Waterford in Tolka on Tuesday for the playoffs as Mons would drop to 4th.

As it is, I'm convinced we'll draw, so it won't matter. I've been in shreds all week, fvck Saturday, I still don't know how to get through today! :(

Glad a club I like did us a favour alight but the league really really is far from over.

The points thing is certainly a little unfair. Your manager said as much. Sorry that one of two clubs I like has to go down.

3 Galway teams in the 1st division would be a disaster. Its Bray's turn for relegation. The Eamonn Zayed days are long gone :pac:

I'd say there'll be a maximum of 1 Galway team in the 1st Division next season.

Rovers shocking so far, don't deserve to win the league on this showing. Bray are full of under 21 ddsl players and there being made look good!

The most ridiculous offside call I've ever seen.

Rovers haunted to be level, game could be over had the 2nd bray goal been allowed. Looked a poor decision and then a poxy goal. Unbelievable. 2-1 now, name on the trophy

Again not very pretty to watch but they got the job done.

Fair play Shamrock Rovers and their supporters.

A long way from playing us in a home game at Turners Cross.

    KEANO:D:D:D

Great injury time penalty by Alan Keane to give Sligo Rovers a one nil win over St Pats

What a way to get third place and finish off the season

    Roll on the Aviva

fcuk bray getting their equaliser, cost me my accumulator! bayern, inter, benfica and bohs all did the job and yet the league winners couldnt! go figure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,395 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

I'm very happy with our season so far. 3rd spot 4 points off the league winners. EA Sports Cup winners, Europa League qualifying round spot confirmed and still the FAI Cup to come!.

I don't think there's a better way to finish a league season than at home in front of a large crowd and winning 1-0 by a penalty scored in the 91st minute.

I had Shams, Bayern, Sligo and Fungal, had a nice return too .
