Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it more difficult to insure a crew cab these days?
Mine is taxed privately, its for private use.Had it insured with Quinn a few years ago no prob.now they wont even quote. What do I do,lie that its for work? Was with Brittons last year,up for renewal, just shoppin round.Come to think of it I told them it was for work, the person I spoke to in Quinn Direct said there was a clampdown on this.

Sounds like they don't know what they are talking about. As a privately registered vehicle you can insure it privately and still have cover for business use as I have on my 110. It's commercially insured ones that I believe some insurers aren't covering for private use.

Don't try doing it over the phone with the big companies for anything out of the ordinary, computer will say no  Go to a local broker or insurance office, my local AXA office is very good.

Quinn dont seem to want business anymore, they pushed the renewal on my crewcab to over 4 grand, needless to say ill be going elsewhere, Axa through a broker qouted me decently

Quinn dont seem to want business anymore.

Indeed, they refused to quote me on a Sprinter van because I am in the motor trade.

Apparently they do not give out any commercial policies to anyone involved in the trade.

I had mine insured with AA, but the price went up about 30% this year.. Rang around and got a sub 500 Euro quote from Mike Murphy insurance on a L200 crew cab.. might be worth giving them a call.
