Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Having been unemployed and skint for a long time, I’ve finally landed
    a job (yyyessss!!!).

I’m still keen to save a few bucks though so have come up with
these penny pinching ideas which I’ve decided so generously to share..

    1) There’s a coffee dock on the ground floor of the building who do
a loyalty card. Its buy 10 get 1 free and the girl scrawls her signature
in a little box. I took it upon myself to fill in the other 9 boxes with a
similar scrawl and was handed my free coffee no questions asked.
    Suckers!

    2) I’m in charge of ordering sandwiches for meetings. They always order loads.
I leave them in the kitchen until needed but always sneak 2 or 3 out and wrap them in foil
    for my lunch later on.
There are meetings everyday meaning I get free lunch every day. Sweet.
As an added bonus I order the sambos so can choose the fillings I like;)

    3) Cutlery, toilet roll and other such items wind up in my bag on a daily basis.
I refuse to spend my hard earned money on crap like forks and jacks roll.

    4) This is kind of tight on my part but I love coffee and can’t afford it so whatcha gonna do.
We have these big massive tubs of Nescafe in the canteen. It’s usually quiet in there after
about 5. I go in with little freezer bags and fill them to busting point with coffee.

I have more money in my pocket and nobody gets hurt.
    The system works!

    Any money saving tips yourselves?

Surely you're getting paid for your new job? I don't drink coffee personally, but would it really break the bank to buy a jar yourself?!

It's not "kinda tight"- that's very fcuking tight!

i know someone who works in a hospital and they take paracetamol, lab coats and plasters! taking things from work seems to be a very common thing without people realizing it's stealing!

So you're lucky enough to get a job and the first thing you do is to think of schemes to try and rob your employer.... The mind boggles... it really does.

    Sigh....AH is so predictable.
I don't actually do any of these things...my thread was purely to amuse myself till 5.30 comes round.
Knew everyone would start flipping out!

    I don't work in Cloverhill!

Just cause I had an interview there doesn't mean I got it. Jesus

I think it's very OTT! Whatever about taking some pens but cutlery, toilet paper and coffee  You refuse to spend your money on it  that's just ridiculous

I really don't think you understand the difference between money saving and stealing.
