I'm very interested in pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine, thankfully a good training program has been set up in Ireland, IAEM. I'm very interested in pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine, thankfully a good training program has been set up in Ireland, IAEM. From their website I gather it takes 7 years to complete training - all things going very smoothly. Anyone have any info to share on EM in Ireland or abroad? Also what kind of salary would one earn during this training and what kind of fees would have to be paid (I have loans to worry about)? Is there nything I can do in my undergraduate training to increase my chances of firstly getting in and secondly make a success of it??
