A meaningful song to sing at a wedding for my buddy...

Hi guys,

I got a wedding coming up in NZ in Feb. I am groomsman for it. Bride to be is from NZ. My mate is Irish, and they both live in Feb.

I'm thinking of some song(s) I could play just on guitar for them. I suppose something that could mean something to the two of them. I have been thinking of some Aus/NZ bands, such as Crowded House or Augie March etc. , but I suppose it could be anyone...

Maybe "fall at your feet" by Crowded House. That would be the obvious choice.

I suppose a song that would mean a lot to two people who come from opposite sides of the planet, but are now getting married....

Tim Finn from Crowded House made 2 albums (1 studio, 1 live) with Liam O'Maonai from Hothouse Flowers and Andy White under the name ALT. Some great appropriate songs on them with a real NZ/Ireland hybrid feel and most easy to play on acoustic guitar. "Halfway round the world" sounds tailor made!
