Pats spent a fair proportion of last season going nowhere or at best sideways with the ball..

    No issues scoring vs Rovers.

Oh and ^^^ welcome to Chambers :)

Nah I agree and think he will flourish at Pats while we continue to suffer under Matthews.

How many times have the people in this thread actually seen Pats play? Other than the obvious Pats fans.

Finished 3rd and got to the Cup Final and apparently we spent most of the season going nowhere. Mother of jaysus.

Seen Pat's play in every game against us apart from match we actually won, couple of games on telly and the cup final.

Who said you went nowhere? Every game against us completely played us off the park and looked better than any other side including Sligo in my opinion. Once you got in the final third however players were absolutely clueless. A Twigg type striker in your team last season and you would have won the league.

    DFX said it up there.

I disagree with the Twigg thing, Fagan holds the ball up and works his balls off for the team. It makes the midfield 3 work. Without him the system wouldnt work. Our lack of goals came from the midfield our 1st choice 3 barely got 10 between them.

Id put Brennan as probably only second to quigley in terms of ability in this league, unfortunately attitude wise, they are also rather similar.

Only one player like that is able in any team at a time.

Large chunk of our budget was taken up by him and his bench warming.

Bennion signed for Longford, Skinner and Delaney won't be back at Shels. Add that to the 6/7 keepers who rejected Shels last season we could be badly struggling for a keeper.

    Paddy Kavanagh to Cork.

Kenny expected to sign to Dundalk tomorrow.

Shane Mac Faul signed for Sporting Pats.

Interesting. How strong is the rumour of this?

How was he at Shels last year?

In terms of ability Joey Ndo pisses all over both of them and every other player in the league, past, present and future.

Posted by a Cork fan on our forum tbh.

He was good tbh, but he gets a bit carried away and keeps the ball rather than making the simple passes.

I'd of kept him if we could afford him. With him and Conan gone we wouldn't have too many creative players left.

Thinking of getting the brother the away jersey for Christmas, but dont want get one if they have new one for next year. Searched around but no answer.

    Jake Kelly signed for Pats.

Done quite well so far, altho Dawson would be nice.

Up to him where he plays has been offered a deal.

I think that's harsh on Ronan Finn. Brennan on his game is great, he's incredibly hot and cold though.

Sorry - misinformed. The home shirt remains and the red 2nd shirt will become the third shirt. There will be a new 2nd shirt.

Pats’ problem this year was in failing to take their chances. Too many points were dropped against lesser teams as a result. The 2-1 defeat at home to 10-man Dundalk is a case in point.

    Rovers Return sign Shane Robinson.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,698 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

Soon Rovers will be signing Tony Grant, Sean Francis and Tony Cousins..

Maybe Croly is trying to sign the last Rovers side he played against

Suspect that with us buying Kavanagh that Stephen McLaughlin might be England bound?
