Tried searching Co-optimus but nothing there really interested us.

    Any suggestions?

    FPS and/or RPG games preferred.

EDIT: Preferably a LAN co-op game.

Random but maybe trine? Its a platformer though.

A friend told me theres a half life 2 coop mod, I'm not sure how correct he is but the idea of replaying that fantastic game with a friend along beside me is an epic one.

    Resident Evil 5

    Borderlands

    Killing Floor

    Dead Rising 2

    Neverwinter Nights 1/2

    Alien Swarm

It's called Synergy, its one of the few mods that can be directly installed through Steam.

You play it? Is it as good as coop HL2 could be?

Actually I used Co-Optimus, to search for some co-op games.

Didn't come across Neverwinter Nights, it's a game I always wanted to play, maybe now's a good excuse.

Swat 4 and the expansion pack are amazing in Coop, I think You can pick up both for a tenner or less

Just gave Diablo II a try with my brother, 5 minutes in and we're hooked.

I'd suggest the Left 4 Dead games but they're really not at their best when only 2 people are playing.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is quite good... if you're willing to accept Ubisoft's DRM.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has local coop working atm - dunno if that's enough for you. Developers are supposed to be working on an update to allow online coop (for all platforms, not just PC) - but never buy a game on the promise of future features.

Spy vs Spy but you'll need a c64 emulator :P
