Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd be up for it as soon as my bike arrives, which should be this week , what standard are you's at

I haven't had a mountain bike for years , but stick 150kms a week in on the road

  • Registered Users Posts: 61 ✭✭Rapidmike

Mid range myself not too fast not too slow .
    Trying hard .
Think two groups after the log one continue on brown and
the other blitz the White !!!' Or so I'd like !!

Glad to see another spin being planned for Ballyhora, I do like the white loop:D

I reckon one week notice should be enough for a Saturday or Sunday spin. I also think that it is a good idea to have two loops in mind.

I would imagine that nearly all beginers should be able to manage the brown loop, it would probably take 1.5 to 2.5 hours (17KM), if that is too much they can turn back at the end of the green loop(6KM). The white loop is approx 3.5 to 4.5 hours (35KM).

I'll try to get a few people to come along from my club to build up the numbers, and Mike: Organise some good weather please.

Happy days, pick a date and I'll be there (might leave the wings behind this time though:rolleyes:)
I reckon any one who wants to mtb is welcome regardless of ability, there are plenty of opportunities to head back to the showers.

I'll also be interested in the next trip. One-two week notice show would suit me very nicely.

Sounds interesting, any chance of maybe doing a afternoon spin instead of a morning one to allow us non morning people in dublin to get there without biting everyones head off from tiredness when we arrive? :P

I hope to make it mike:)

Ill be there this tuesday if anyone fancies a spin. Leaving trailhead at about 12:00 on either the white or blue loop depending on weather.

Any chance of a show of hands as to 21 nov .
As to the weather I did the brown this morning in torrential
rain and while wet, the forest cover keeps u warm and the trail
holds up well with avoiding the splashes bringing a new
dimension to the day .. Ps showers v hot for after .
As to the day how does 9am the car park sound for those
closer for the brown with a 12 start to the White if weather
dry and if wet a White only at 10 or 11
    Thoughts ???

    95% sure I won't make it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 61 ✭✭Rapidmike

Trying to please all if possible , probably not !!!
Will give one more try .,
would 28 nov or dec 5 suit all ????
IF not we go with 21

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 620 ✭✭✭Super Freak

Nov28th of Dec5th would suit me.

I don't think you should change the date Mike, It's enough notice and not too far away either. You will never be able to please everyone.

    THOUGHTS?

Is there bike hire on site? And if so how much?
Tempted with the over night idea, would be good crack but I need sign off from the boss.

Also I'm fairly new (and unfit and danny glover'ed) to MTB, so anyone new and/or rusty if the going gets tough we can split off too a shorter/slower set etc. So don't feel because its a group you will get overwhelmed by top elite riders lol.
