contract with eircom

curious guys when you upgrade your broadband with eircom over the phone is it a 6 month contract you are tied to or a 12 month i done it last january and the sales rep told me it wont be up to till jan 2011 the reason why im asking i can finally get upc after so long or any hints to telling eircom to F### off. sorry guys…
