Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just getting the mtb ready and took of the v-brakes to clean and service as the long spring keeps popping out. Any one got a tutorial vid/link as to which way the spring should assemble as I have a feeling the whole mechanism is worn on the caliper.No matter which way i sit the spring in any time I put tension on the…

Just getting the mtb ready and took of the v-brakes to clean and service as the long spring keeps popping out. Any one got a tutorial vid/link as to which way the spring should assemble as I have a feeling the whole mechanism is worn on the caliper.No matter which way i sit the spring in any time I put tension on the spring pops out. I had the same trouble last year but was plagued with brake probs.

Sounds like something is bent, broken or installed incorrectly.

Thanks Morgan. It just seems to be that the groove on the caliper itself that keeps the top of the spring in place is just worn and isnt deep enough to hold the spring. I have 2 cable ties holding them in until I get a new set of calipers.
