Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm (attempting) to use a 7 year old IBM Thinkpad to create high res digital images (275x210mm / 300dpi) in photoshop. However p/s keeps freezing, and just isn't coping well with the challenge... at all.

I suppose I need a new computer, but haven't a clue where to start. Could anybody recommend particular makes that would suit the kind of work I need to do?

    Many thanks.

cba converting mm to inches and multiplying by colour depth

save the image as a .BMP

multiply the file size by three to give you the amount of RAM you need for the image - this is in addition to that requred by windows

    BTW
computers double in speed every 18 months so a any new machine would be 10-15 times as fast as your laptop
