I think if you do all of Sporting Life's tips you will have a losing day. But if you look at all that they have and then cross reference with some other sites or on some of the horse racing forums you can wittle down a smaller list which may improve your strike rate.

thas pretty much what im doing at the mo..if you back all their tips you will be down more often than not..
you have to have some bit of knowledge of the sport or it wont be worthwhile.
theres loads of sites that offer tips so just shop around...

I don't gamble on horses but was checking them out for a while to see how good they were in case i dabbled in it in the future and there seemed to be some good analysis from certain members who really know their stuff. So could be worth checking out those forums.

Mix of two sites picked the ones which choose the same winners

    Catterick
    14:15 Taspeya
    14.45 AvonValley
    15:15 Local Hero

    Exeter:
    14:05 Dare Me
    14:35 Somersby
    15:05 Quzak
    15:35 Vamazi
    16:35 Court in Motion

    Kempton Park
    15:55 Suntrap

    1euro on each
    Stake:€9
We will see how tomorrow goes

I crossed checked that list of yours with gg.com tips, and of the 5 selections in question 3 won and two placed. So one one days testing it looks like a system worth testing properly.

the 3 winners were not exactly value bets in fairness.
dare me 1/6 (your hardly counting that)
    avonvalley 13/8
    court in motion 4/6

there not that impressive to be fair..
thats still a poor strike rate

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Sure but its still worth testing - 5 picks nothing unplaced.

ya but he backed 9 not 5..

anyway im already on the case..:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 257 ✭✭Con1110

I ended up placing 2euro on each horse and 4 euro on dare me..
    4 Winners: AvonValley
    Local Hero
    Dare Me
    Court in Motion

    2 Seconds Tasfeya
    Vamazi

    1 Third - Sumersby

Dunno What I won yet lads must collect whatever I won 2moro had no money in online account

  • Registered Users Posts: 257 ✭✭Con1110

As mike said its just a system which seems to work if you put 3-4 sites tips together..
I reckon I defo made a profit for the day so it cant be bad..

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

What price were the 4 winners?

  • Registered Users Posts: 257 ✭✭Con1110

    1/5 4euro
    15/8 2euro
    4/1 2euro
    4/6 2euro

    Rough Estimates

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

    €4.80
    €5.75
    €10
    €3.33

Should be €23.88 returned for stake of €20

  • Registered Users Posts: 257 ✭✭Con1110

    Stake of €20
    8horses X 2euro
    1horse X 4euro

Its a Profit might not seem alot but if people had the money to put down 200 instead of 20
    Thats over 38euro of profit
