Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rock shox dart disassembly

I have a problem with my 2009 Specialized rockhopper MTB. The bike has been lying idle for a while since a rather wet day on the hills. I took the bike out again, and the suspension is very stiff (almost non existent, not locked out). I went about trying to disassemble the suspension, removing the bottom shaft bolts, tapping with a mallet before removing completely, but cannot remove them. Do I need to release air first from these (sorry about the novice question), checked the SRAM site, but I cannot be clear on the specific model. It suggests that there is a valve cover on the left Fork leg, where the preload adjuster is, do I just prise this off with a flat screwdriver? Don't want to damage it until I'm sure. Anyone know what would have happened the suspension? Water?

    Any help much appreciated.

Not to be messed with if you are not experienced.

bring them to a bike shop that knows what they are doing. Moycullen Bike Works in Galway are, afaik, the 'official' Rockshox service centre in Ireland

Lots of shops in Dublin will do them as well eg Cycle Inn, Bike Rack, OC Tuning
