Currently sunny and mild at 10 deg, breezy after a terrible night with terribly strong south easterly winds.

West Cork here; more deluges sweeping in. The garden is now under water. Last night was appalling; we just got in from market as it was getting worse and did not even unload the car. Wind worse than last week also last night and rising again now.

Even at market in Macroom, the gazebos etc were in danger of taking off.

Stormy here in donegal, was out for a drive and had to go slow due to strong gusts hitting the car and the hail stones was bouncing off the road like marbles. A tight night out there.

+1 for Galway city. Motorways are a great idea but in gale force winds they can leave you a bit exposed:D

Heavy bursts of rain in Galway city with 12.2mm recorded since 5PM. Strong S'ly winds are adding to the misery. Some minor flooding in and around town but nothing too serious.

I see on the forecast after the news the forecaster said there was winds of up to 70mph (110km) tonight, didnt expect this.

Has the wind died down at all in Donegal since last Thursday?
Every time I look at ME's current weather conditions, since last Thursday, Malin Head is showing at least 40kt gust.
