I am looking for a nice lunch spot on saturday for a birthday surprise. Anyone recommend a place with a good buzz and tasty food. All options considered except Indian. Also, if anyone knows a place that sells unique / original silver jewellery that would be a bonus.

The Silver Trout, South King Street for original silver jewellery. Also Kilkenny Design Centre do a good range of silver jewellery also.

Re lunch, how about Rolys Bistro in Ballsbridge or Ely on Ely Place.

    +1 Roly's, something like €25 for their set lunch (starter/main course/dessert)

I love Diep Le Shaker or Saba. Yum!

Haven't been yet but Juniors, Bath Ave (beside Landsdowne Rd) has been suggested to me by a few people.

Been there for weekend brunch and evening meals, v nice! Bit small and cramped though. The Chop House across the road from Juniors is also very nice, great staff, food and service.
