Wednesday could be even more crazy than usual in the current weather.

Could be the best thing to happen for the college. More house drinking and less people going out and presumably less trouble.

I'm gonna set up a chair in Railway Square, and watch all the drunk eejits bust their nuts trying to stumble back and forth between Masons and Harveys.

Seriously though, with this snow, hardly anyone will be out. And speaking for the girls, heels + ice = bad combination :D

it was announced to the class reps that facebook will be blocked on the computers and on the wireless in the college.

the reps did not have an option to vote on it.
And did they just sit by and let that happen? Why do we even have class reps then if they can't be involved in things like this?

Mod note - we can talk without name slinging - don't let it happen again please.

I heard that it's blocked as there is a limit on the amount of wireless connection points in the college, (they cant extend it due to lack of funding) and they don't want people blocking up the system on facebook. thats why you could be waiting a few minutes to pick up a wireless connection in the college, your basically waiting untill a point becomes free. Thats what the IT tech person told my friend anyway!

    Makes sense to me.

Did you actually just refer to 160 members of the student body as useless retards, well I am one of those "useless retards" and I don't see any problem with fb being blocked on the network... at all.

If anyone at Class Rep Council had an issue with it they could have raised their point then, but my understanding is that there was not a problem.

Our Education officer did mention that it was blocked for people using netbooks and notebooks on the wireless system and seemed apologetic but there was nothing that could be done.

And in future please don't use such offence language...
