    John, I had this posted under Denon deal thread, I have now deleted it from there as I don't know if you saw it?

    Could you quote me boardsie prices on the following please, including delivery to Cork?

    1. Pioneer VSX-1019 which is £279.95 (~ €322) on richersounds.com - Just saw not in stock in your store...any way to get this shipped from UK? Seems like the model I want!

    2. Pioneer VSX - 820 which is £399.95 (~ €460)

    3. Pioneer VSX - 920 which is also £399.95 with the voucher from Pioneer.co.uk...or is this in-store only?

    I would also be willing to travel up to collect any item if the price was good enough! :)

    Hi John.

    I couldn't say that Denon are better than Pioneer, no.

    They have very different traits and features and the Pioneer 920 is an excellent receiver with the ipod control and is very well finished, but matches up with warmer speakers whereas the Denon AVR1911 is a warmer amplifier which tends to be less fussy with speakers and is better for music.

    Both brands make very good equipment and I would have to say that in terms of bluray, Pioneer make some very good models for a sensible price whereas Denon tend to stick to high end.
