Did you buy it from Ticketmaster?
If so, and you bought it online, they should replace it
If you bought it from an outlet, they won't

Grand Pocket Orchestra (not only one of my favourite local bands, but actually one of my favourite bands in the world) are playing with the excellent Groom and others on Wednesday, in the Grand Social.

I saw Grand Pocket Orchestra on Friday and I am already excited to see them again. :)

Sun Araw, playing The Joinery this Friday.

    €10 at the door, BYOB

    It's sort of.... drone stuff.

I really enjoy this song with it's afrobeat drumming

I'm too stupid to embed this video

The Joinery is a nice spot for a gig. It's like being in someone's house.

Butterfly Explosion are playing in the Academy tomorrow night, tickets are €10. Unfortunately I've got to miss the gig because of work. I was at their album launch in Whelan's last April and they played a small, but excellent gig. It was one of the best I've been to this year.

Frightened Rabbit are playing the Academy on Thursday 9th December.

Something to head along to if you couldn't get tickets for Caribou I suppose.

Here's Scott doing a live song in Galway:

Ireland's hardest touring band So Cow are playing a late show upstairs in Whelan's on Saturday 11th December.

Free in provided you're in Whelan's before 10.30 I think. Otherwise it's the usual cover charge to get into the pub.

    Well worth seeing.

Heading to this as well, never seen FR live on their own, only supporting Death Cab For Cutie, I will be enjoying every second of this gig.

The Annual Superheroes' Ball, Ireland's only fancy dress Alternative rock festival is on the 28th of January in The Academy. It's in aid of cancer research. Tickets are 12 euro from bands and reps, don't think they're on sale yet though. It's a pretty groovy night out! Evryone dresses up as superheroes and the line-up is amazing! Line Up: Out Of Nowhere, Nuke The Fridge, Charlie's Lego, Little Green Cars, Heroes In Hiding, Dead Cat Bounce and Miracle Bell. :D its an all ages gig so no alcohol sold/anyone can go. And if you're over 18, the Superheroes' Ball ticket gets you free into the afterparty in Break For The Border for the night. Keep an eye on their Facebook if you're interested.

    Workmans Club, 11/02

Really like that track, haven't heard the album.

    Linkage

Think the last 1/4 of 2010 spoilt me, nothing much on over the next few months.

Playin the Button Factory this Saturday x

I googled "Adebisi Shank Button Factory" and the only results I got were for the show back in November. Anyone else hear of this?

    Ooh, Facebook update;
Hello. The Button Factory is an important venue in Dublin. I talked to Vinny for the first time in the backstage area of the Button Factory (Music Centre). We love the Button Factory and especially the new booker, Timmo. We shall be playing a free show in the Button Factory this Saturday evening to show how much we love it in this difficult time for the venue. We hope to see you there!

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 11,373 Mod ✭✭✭✭lordgoat

Ya free show in the button factory all over twitter this morning.

Really decent of the band to do this. Tell your friends.

Also Sin E is closing uo too.
