Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sorry if this has been posted already, I'm new here...the Mountain Goats are playing Whelan's on Sunday 22nd May...tickets 17.50 on Tickets.ie...I've wanted to see them for ages...

    All my posts here so far have been Mountain Goats related...I promise I'm not actually that one-dimensional...

    Normally this little thread is for gigs in the near future (upcoming two weeks) but as it's an MG post i'll let it slide!

    I work for the venue! Sorry I took it as you were accusing me of shilling or something, and I was thinking, eh, it's a gig thread!

    Was at Chapel Club earlier. Great gig, Academy 2 is a lovely little intimate venue, excellent spot. Got chatting to the bassist for a good while immediately before the gig. Conversing consisted of weed appreciation and how Paul Epworth performed in his capacity as producer. Sound bloke!

    Yo are you on twitter? If so put the #ticketfairy tag in a tweet, and maybe send it to nialler9 too and see if he'll bump it for you.

    I'm off line from literally now for a few hours so will do my best...

    Dylan "the guy gave Kurt Cobain that shotgun" Carlson's band Earth are playing for €13 in the Button Factory this Friday.

    They're great to see if you fancy a chilled gig, if you mix their live show with whiskey I find it moves you to a nice maudlin state of mind.

    Example...

    Newsom = :)

    Also, the delightful Emmy the Great has announced she's playing the Kilkenny Arts Fest on August the 12th. Her name, IMO, is no understatement.

    Have you heard Micah P Hinson's cover of 'We almost had a baby'? It's fantastic.

    edit: Going to both Sufjan's gigs, Noah and the Whale on Sunday, trying desperately to get Fleet Foxes in Cork in, and Newsom in Marley park. I'm properly excited by the summer:)

    Next week is insane- Warpaint, explosions, perfume genius, sufjan, all one day after another.

    EITS definitely excites me the most, but i'm curious to see what perfume genius is/are like live. The album is a very nice listen but how it'll translate to a live performance I'm not sure.
