Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah, the Animal Collective gig was excellent. The songs off 'Centipede Hz' translated really well (particularly the spikier, beat-driven tunes like 'Moonjock' and 'Today's Supernatural) and while the musical interludes between songs did drag at times, the soundscapes they produced were astonishing. There was a bittersweet realisation though that the gig only really took legs when they played the MPP cuts ('Brothersport' was spectacular).

Desperately wanted Moonjock as the opener, with the "This is the news...9-8-7-6.." intro. Chcked setlist fm before the gig so I was ready for Rosie Oh, odd choice I think.

I have a very busy gig month ahead of me!
-Passion Pit at the Olympia 11/11
    -Citizens! at Academy 2 12/11
    -Keane at the Olympia 21/11
    -Shearwater at Button Factory 28/11
-Purity Ring at Button Factory 29/11
-Wild Nothing at Workman's Club 01/12

The last two are those I anticipate the most: I've half-seen Purity Ring at Forbidden Fruit and found them quite interesting and Wild Nothing's Nocturne is one of my favourite albums this year.

    Looking forward to this one
and Jens Lekman in a couple of weeks.

From what I've heard Deakin thought it was rather cool and was blown away by it.

Where'd you hear that out of interest? I did see a smile break over his face during that start of the sit-down.

Shockin easy to embarrass you. Did you stand at the back, arms folded appreciating the time signatures?

It was actually class. Unexpected and the band obviously enjoyed it.....as did the majority of the crowd. An it was a brilliant gig.

The Ambience Affair where excellent as the support band, the trio from Meath had a lot of stage energy, great vocal delivery and a very 'enthusiastic' drummer. Exitmusic where a real tour de force. Aleksa Palladino has an amazing voice, passage was my highlight of the show.Finished too soon is my only real complaint.

Safe to say looks to be a different experience in 2012 with the expanded line-up...a the lights in vicar street can be awesome at times and will compliment their music greatly..

Anyone know if ASIWYFA will be back in Ireland any time soon? Missed them twice now due to work, absolutely devastated. Also, If you are into them, check out Race The Flux, they gig quite frequently and are have some music which is similar to ASIWYFA.

    PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING

PSB released their debut single, ROYGBIV, to the masses in March 2012. The single won the Rebel Playlist on BBC 6 Music (the first of the band's unprecedented four public-voted Rebel Playlist triumphs in 2012) and was on the receiving end of a 5* review in
    Artrocker magazine.

Next came The War Room EP in May 2012. The EP included BBC 6 Music favourites Spitfire and London Can Take It, both of which became mainstays on the daytime playlist, as well as receiving multiple plays on Xfm, BBC Radio 2, & Absolute Music. Live
sessions with Gideon Coe (6 Music) & John Kennedy (Xfm) followed. The War Room received 'CD of the Week' in the Independent on Sunday and has sold over 12,000 copies to date.

Fresh from the success of The War Room, PSB set their sights on the summit of Everest, adapting the 1953 feature-length documentary ‘The Conquest of Everest'. The stunning film was shot by expedition member George Lowe, and recounts Hillary, Tenzing et al’s successful ascent of the tallest mountain in the world. The single won (yet again) the Rebel Playlist on 6 Music and also received airplay on Xfm, Radio 2, Amazing Radio and more, and led to appearances for the band in Q, MOJO, Loud and Quiet, Wire and numerous other publications.

In support of the release of Everest, PSB took their live AV show on tour around the UK, selling out multiple dates including their headline London show at XOYO. The band are now preparing to release their debut album in Spring 2013, in what is shaping up to be a very busy year indeed.

The band's debut album will be released in Spring 2013
