Budget & BTEA

Hi, this may be in the wrong forum but I wanted to remain anonymous because I am embarrassed about how little I know about how the upcoming budget is going to affect someone in my situation [receiving BTEA].

I'm considering going to the student march on Wednesday, because I have been told all about the expected budget changes for people who receive grants:
    3000 registration fee and
    grant being cut by 25%.

The only thing I'm worried about is that I will look like an idiot if a fellow student asks why I'm there, as I'm receiving BTEA and not the grant.
I honestly don't know if I'm supposed to be at the march, - will these changes also affect people on BTEA, or is there a separate type protest coming up for BTEA people?

I would guess that BTEA and all social payments are probably going to be cut alot too, but should I just leave the march for the students who are receiving the grant, or would it be very odd for me to be there?

Also my lecturer's for that day have decided to go back over anything we request for the people who aren't at the march [so that the people on the march don't miss any new material]. There is one subject that I'm finding a bit tough, so this would be helpful.

I'm so confused. Could someone please tell me if this march is also for BTEA students, and would it be inappropriate for me to be there if it is not?

any cuts to education will affect you, regardless of how you fund it. Nooone's gonna think you silly for marching, because you'll still get stung by anything silly the goverment does/.

you could also make the point your going to protest in support for friends and family members who are on the grant scheme.
