Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am looking forward to this game,

Great that VDV will be playing, brilliant signing so far, hope he shines tonight,

I'm cheering for Spurs, in which case I'm worried about the furthest man forward and the furthest man back in the line up.

Does anyone know where the Setanta commentators would be based?

I thought I heard Curtis Fleming is co-commentating, thought I saw him on my flight today.

I thought as much but wasn't sure, in which case it couldn't have been him, as I was flying back to Dublin.

Could have been him depending on the time I guess, flight back to dublin, and then to london.

I do know that Setanta used to always have people at the stadiums for CL games when I subscribed to them.

All this talk from Fergie in the Summer about there being "no value in the transfer market."

Van Der Vaart for 8 million , and he practically begged for a move to United a short while before Spurs signed him.

Yeah, because he would have cost 8m if united bought him

To be fair he was only good value because of a few quirks of circumstance. He was 18 million the day before......

There is always good value though!

    Spurs have cash, united don't.

Well Madrid sold Sneijder to Inter for a similar amount and they're a huge club.

Wouldn't expect a club like Madrid who don't particularly need the money to hold United to ransom considering the much reported mounting debts,

Think he means Spuds paid cash, United are in debt and paid on tick.... (like almost everyone else)

There wasn't even a hint of that, just people making claims about United that aren't true.

there was no spurs negativity at all.

don't know what the exchange rate is where you are but £8m is still not equal to €15m

    Thought he went for cheaper.

Still, like Van Der Vaart, an absolute steal at the price he was sold for.

Poor from Hutton, take it down and take him on, he is on a yellow!

He was great on loan for Sunderland, haven't seen it since he was back at Spurs.

Inter suprisingly unconvincing at the back.

Good first half for Spurs but i can't see Inter going the 90 minutes without scoring. Both sides look poor at the back tonight.

No, it's the same Spurs that were conned out of 3 points by Nani's cheating.

Utd nearly always beat Spurs. Hardly a surprise they lost at the weekend.

Fair play to Spurs, hope they hold on for the win. Like the way they play football. Bale, Modric, VDV - great to watch.

With Dawson, King and Defoe back, and a decent right back, I would fancy Spurs chances against anyone.
